In case anyone happened to miss it earlier, the NBA released its 2013 All-Defensive Team.

The leading vote getters for this year’s All-Defensive team were Tony Allen of the Memphis Grizzlies with 53 points, and LeBron James with 52 points.  A very noticeable snub from the 1st team is the NBA’s Defensive Player of the Year, Marc Gasol.

That’s right, ladies and gentlemen; Marc Gasol only made the 2nd team.  Unlike the Defensive Player of the Year voting that is done by the media, the NBA’s All-Defensive teams are voted on by the coaches; and coaches are not allowed to vote for a player on their own team.

With Gasol only picking up five 1st team votes, and two 2nd team votes, there are a bunch of NBA coaches that have no respect for Marc.

Listed below are the 2013 NBA All-Defensive teams:

1st Team

Forward LeBron James, Miami Heat                   52 points

Forward Serge Ibaka, Oklahoma City Thunder     46 points
